The first floor of Henry Ford Hospital is the epicenter of the Henry Ford Health System. This gallery is visited by thousands of patients, visitors and guests each day. The entrance and gallery also reflect the missions of teaching and research, advancement, history and tradition of Henry Ford.

Hobbs+Black is currently involved in the renovation of the lobby, gift shop, retail pharmacy, entry vestibule/ valet and internet café at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Integrating these modern amenities into the historic building requires the ability to follow the Henry Ford design criteria and standards.

Planning for these functions involve review and reorganization of circulation, organization and way finding, resulting in a patient-friendly layout. The project also addresses a new program of finishes and lighting (both natural and artificial) and incorporation of exterior opportunities. These major facility changes bring forth a spirit of wellness and healing, embrace the quality and dignity of Henry Ford, and provide for an overall patient experience.
