William Beaumont Hospital continues its leadership position as Michigan’s most highly respected health provider. Year after year, more people choose Beaumont to provide health care services. These patients come from both southeast Michigan and across the State to receive this world class medical care in numerous areas of specialty.

In support of the demand for services by patients from communities around Michigan and from other states, William Beaumont Hospital, through the Foundation has developed a program to provide for housing needs immediately adjacent to the main Royal Oak Hospital campus. The DeRoy House provides housing for patients and families coming to the hospital for care covering more than one day. This 7,200 square foot facility contains 6 resident suites supporting both patients themselves and those with additional family members. The facility is constructed in two halves to respect those who desire a quieter environment and those who are part of a family situation.

Architecture for the facility is residential in character. While located adjacent to a major 1,000 bed medical and teaching center, the residence is tucked into the fabric of the adjacent tree ladened neighborhood supporting a quieter respite need.
