Oakwood Healthcare continues to be recognized for providing high-quality healthcare to the western and southern regions of metropolitan Detroit. The health organization is centered in Dearborn, a community with an older population and growing demand for healthcare services. Oakwood Healthcare and Midwest Health, a regional clinical healthcare provider in southeast Michigan have formed a relationship to provide a high-quality clinical model meeting the demand of this area.

The site selected for the new Midwest Health Center is located at the center point of downtown Dearborn, at the southeast corner of Michigan Ave. and Schaeffer Highway, directly across from the historical Dearborn City Hall complex. The area is rich in tradition and in the process of significant redevelopment. The program calls for the development of a full mixed-use program of healthcare, multiple retail venues, office, senior living and structured parking supporting the elements.

Midwest Health Center will provide a comprehensive ambulatory diagnostic and treatment center offering the full spectrum of service lines within an integrated-care model. The program approach in this 3-story, 150,000 square foot facility is dedicated to the spirit of wellness and prevention and the environment will be constructed supporting that mission.

The architecture of brick and stone is urban incorporating brick, stone and glass and reflects the Oakwood tradition of medical excellence, while embodying the downtown character of the Dearborn setting.
