-Regional Director Hobbs + Black Architects Phoenix, AZ Due to significant growth of the company and an already proven base of business in the Southwestern U.S., Hobbs+Black Architects is seeking a licensed architect for the position of Regional Director for our Phoenix Arizona Office. The Southwest Regional Director will manage the Southwest Region and will report to the Executive Vice President of the Company. S/he will be responsible for all activities of the office, including staffing, P&L responsibilities, business development, client management and overall growth of the region, in addition to performing professional activities. As an active producer for the region, the Southwest Regional Director will also perform activities related to review of construction documents, corrective recommendations, cost recommendations, and on-going client communications, managing and coordinating project work flow, and growth of professional staff, etc. Ensure that management's set policies, programs, budgets and procedures are followed in the region, ensuring that all work meets the Company's objectives with regard to quality, budget, etc. Manage the Company's client relationships, ensuring project deliverables are completed in a quality manner as promised, and that strong client follow-up occurs. The qualified Regional Director candidate will be a licensed architect (AIA) and possess the following: 1. Ten years plus relevant experience, to include architectural systems analysis, design, property condition assessment or related forensic reviews, and construction administration. 2. Strong constructability experience with all commercial property types, including multi family residential, healthcare, retail, and office. Experience with programming, design and development of construction documents, cost recommendations. 3. High level of integrity and a strong work ethic. 4. A detail-oriented executive who focuses on implementation and follow-through with clients, and can develop client relationships. 5. Excellent technical communication skills, both verbal and written. 6. A high-energy individual, with the ability to think quickly and respond to change. Ability to multitask and manage concurrent jobs and their related needs. 7. Proven leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team. 8. Competency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Qualified Project Manager candidates will possess a professional degree and a minimum of 10 years experience in an architectural office with a minimum of 5 years concentrated in healthcare projects. Candidates must be conversant with new directions in hospital and ambulatory care facilities, research laboratories, and medical office buildings. We require a registered architect with technical proficiency eager to lead, manage and direct all in-house coordination and management efforts. This candidate must possess necessary code and regulation knowledge to develop, coordinate, manage, and lead detailed scheduling and budgeting plans.
