University Commons is designed specifically for University of Michigan alumni, staff, and faculty over 50 years of age.

Two mid-rise buildings, comprising 50 luxury units, flank a common building which overlooks a small lake.  The common building serves as a community center with a dining room, meeting, social, and music rooms, as well as hotel suites for guests.

Fifty-four “villa” homes are set in small clusters, or villages, surrounding the three main buildings on this rolling 32-acre site.  The homes are constructed of masonry and wood and range in size from 1,100 square feet to 1,900 square feet, all with underground parking.

Amenities include gardening areas, tennis facilities and lakeside walking trails.
