First & Main Senior Living Facilities
Granger Group, Michigan and Ohio
First & Main Senior Living was created to support expansive growth in the senior population of the United States. The organization provides for a continuum of living services including independent living, assisted living, and memory care and is in the process of developing a number of communities in Michigan and Ohio. The emphasis is to provide for a living environment delivered in a concierge manner.
They have developed the prototype for these communities with Hobbs+Black based on quality of resident services and efficiency in operations to provide for a quality community model and a sustainable business plan. Campus planning and building stacking are organized so that each of the levels of resident care are designed around the specific needs of that level and reinforce the dignity of the residents including individual entries, dining, activity, and resident healthcare services.
The major buildings are three-stories in height, many with internal courtyards and outdoor activity and dining spaces. On larger sites, the campus provides for duplex independent villa units supporting a more active lifestyle.
As there are a multitude of these communities being constructed, architectural styles and pattern language will support the individual characteristics of the local residential environment.
